Last week, Chris Veale, our Operations Director was successfully voted on to the NHBC Council at their AGM held in London, which will be a 5 year position. Chris was nominated by our Managing Director Ann-marie Smale as part of the CIC Wales and Powell Dobson to provide some representation from the Welsh Building Industry.

Chris is delighted to be part of the team and feels its an honour to be given the opportunity with such a reputable company. He is looking forward to being involved with various events during the year in supporting NHBC and being able to contribute or engage in their activities. 

For some background, NHBC is the leading warranty and insurance provider for the new build homes in the UK and is a non-profit private insurance company. Any profits that NHBC generates are reinvested in the business and supports dedicated resources and technical expertise to their objects of supporting the industry to deliver high quality homes and protecting the homeowner with the Buildmark warranty. The Council comprises of 55 members who are drawn from a cross-section of organisations that have an involvement with the UK house building industry.
