Cardiff Station with Network Rail
Proposed Changes
Aug 2014
In recent months we've been working with our client Network Rail on options to transform Cardiff's Central Station. This grade II listed station was built in 1850 and is the largest in Wales. The renovation will be the most extensive during this time and includes an expanded concourse, with a 30m wide public thoroughfare along with additional retail accommodation. The designs have maintained the existing art deco facade, which will be viewed through a glass frontage, with a wave effect roof. The area around the station will see new buildings for office and retail use, improvements to the public realm and a new car park.
