ABBEY PRIMARY SCHOOL
NeathResponding to a complex, multi-level site, overlooking Neath Valley, the new Abbey Primary School has unified the original split-site school in a state-of-the-art building.
The original primary school – split across three sites, has been unified by the new school building constructed on the site of the former Dwr-y-Felin lower comprehensive school. The design of the new school responded to the complex split-level site whilst capitalising on the stunning views across Neath Valley.

With provision for 420 pupils (aged 3 – 11), including a nursery, an early years assessment centre, and an additional childcare facility. Classrooms are accessed from a generous and vibrant street space at the heart of the school building.
The alternative learning setting, hosted within the school, assists pupils with a broad range of social, emotional and learning challenges, enabling them to be supported by the appropriate professionals to allow them to firstly re-integrate into the school setting and in due course, back into their parent school.
