The Practice has undertaken a feasibility study to enable an evaluation of their site and options for expansion.  We were able to review the development opportunities for the area of land to the west of their existing site at Cannock.  The brief for the development, for the new Parts and Power Systems buildings, has been developed by Finning CAT in association with the Design Team, and the required energy target is to aim for a BREEAM rating of “Excellent.”

The proposal entails a new Parts building of approximately 7,560m2 gross floor area and a new Power Systems building of approximately 5,800m2 gross floor area together with associated roads, hard-standings and yards. In addition the project will also include a new Reception/Entrance area and car parking to provide approximately 600 spaces for staff, customers and visitors across the A5 new and existing sites. The study assisted and informed the decision to acquire a further 13 acres of adjacent land. This purchase has been concluded and we recently commenced instructions for the Phase 1 implementation of an overall masterplan for the entire campus. Phase 1 is a 75,000 sqft Parts facility.
