The proposal is to create a hotel with 125 high quality guest rooms, a restaurant, bar and lounge facilities as well as meeting, conference and function rooms and a fitness room on this site at Machynys Golf and Country Club.
The proposals form part of a long term development plan for the Machynys Peninsular which have included the construction of a new golf course and country club and high quality housing in recent years, all of which Powell Dobson have been involved in.
The building will create a strong sense of place and identity through its relationship with the landscape and its use of vernacular and sustainable materials.
The design concept is a direct response to the opportunities offered by the site and a passive low energy design strategy. The building when finished aspires to achieve BREEAM ‘Excellent’ rating.
