The project comprises 13,000m2 new build and 16,750m2 refurbishment and the facilities include motor vehicle, sport, engineering, hospitality and catering, travel and tourism, creative arts, hair and beauty, the business college, health, social care and child care, ILS, LRC and management.

Combining and consolidating the Further Education academic and vocational facilities on to an extended campus at Tycoch, the project had distinct learning clusters linked by a legible 'Circulation Spine'. Classroom, practical workshops and group learning spaces co-exist with more informal self-directed open plan study spaces and resource areas, offering improved teaching and student management whilst promoting a modern and diverse learning experience.

This simple envelope design has green roofs throughout, plant centralisation, a Sports barn wth lightweight roof integrating PV panels acrss, acting as the renewable energy source for the entire scheme and site wide energy systems.
