We are pleased to be progressing Stage 4 of The Cascade scheme with contractor ARJ for Linc Cymru Housing Association. The Cascade is a high profile project on City Road and Vere Street, Cardiff, which will provide 48 new affordable homes and ground floor commercial space to support the ongoing regeneration of this part of Cardiff. Based around the principles of Biophilic design, the cross laminated timber structure rising from 4-7 storey’s is covered by a vertical planted façade, the first of its kind in the city, which will cascade over the building, contributing to the greening of the surrounding urban environment, promoting biodiversity in the city, improving air quality and providing passive cooling for residents.
