Insider Property Awards Sustainable Development of the Year 2016

On Tuesday 14th June the Insider Property Awards took place in City Hall in Cardiff. Powell Dobson entered two categories - Consultancy of the Year and Sustainable Development of the Year. We were delighted to receive awards in both of these categories.
The project put forward for the Sustainable Development of the Year Award 2016 was B&Q Eco Learning Store in Merthyr Tydfil. This tore uses 51% less energy than its equivalents. We worked with Cardiff University, Tata and we designed the store for Hammerson and B&Q to reduce energy use and cut water production. Principles developed there will be tested and could then be rolled out to other B&Q stores.
