Powell Dobson Architects is not only celebrating 50 years in business this year but also the service and commitment of two loyal, hardworking, long serving members of staff based in our Cardiff office. Harry Emery, Technical Manager and Chris Veale, Associate, have reached the important milestones of 27 and 25 years respectively with the Practice. To mark the occasion this commitment was acknowledged with a gift to Harry and Chris in a presentation with their fellow colleagues.

Harry has over 43 years' experience and has been at Powell Dobson for 27 years. In his position as Technical Manager, Harry is responsible for the organisation and delivery of the detailed construction and technical drawings required for many of our projects that have been undertaken within many sectors including retail, commercial, industrial, healthcare and education. Harry was responsible for the day to day delivery of our 12 year Framework with the Royal Mail Group and for our work with Dow Corning Ltd. Currently he is responsible for the day to day delivery of the Building Enhancement Programme for Merthyr Tydfil and Treharris, which includes a variety of different retail outlets and commercial properties.

Also based in Cardiff, Chris is an Associate with responsibility for the day to day technical delivery of major projects at Powell Dobson. He has over 31 years' experience in architecture with extensive knowledge of the residential, mixed use and leisure sectors, some of which have received BREEAM "Excellent" ratings. Chris has been involved with the preparation of the majority of bid proposals in these areas, especially in the last 19 years. Most recently he has been undertaking the project delivery of residential developments for Bellway Homes and Linden Homes Western varying from 40 to 131 units.
