We have been supporting Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council to improve the quality of buildings in Merthyr Tydfil and Treharris. Our support started with the creation of a set of building design guidelines for building owners, which became adopted planning policy by the Council. The practice has worked very closely with potential applicants to develop costed proposals for potential improvements to traditional shopfronts, ornate listed buildings and late twentieth century buildings. We then undertook the detailed architectural stage of the work and several contracts for improvements have been completed.
