Neat-teeth orthodontics, a specialist referral practice providing advice and treatment for a wide range of orthodontic problems in children and adults, comprises private dental and medical facilities together with office accommodation on three storeys located either side of a glazed atrium. The dental practice occupies the ground floor with Orthodontist, Chiropractor, Optician, consulting rooms and a dental laboratory on the upper floors.
The office accommodation provides 6,000sqft of open plan floor space over three floors with independent access and core facilities at each floor level. The whole building is served by an undercroft/semi basement car park and the site is located within the ‘Institutional Quarter’ enclave within SA1 with commanding views over the new Millennium Park down to the Prince of Wales Dock.
The project provided the opportunity to create a prestigious building in a prime location, in response to an exacting functional brief. Careful consideration was given to the palette of materials used on the building envelope to ensure that a high quality of finish was achieved consistent with the aspirations of the SA1 programme.
