We have made significant investments into BIM training and hardware/software over the last three years and now a significant proportion of our projects are delivered under this platform. Our Head of BIM, Andrew Beadle, brings significant expertise to the practice and has recently presented one of our schemes as a demonstration project at the Wales BIM Conference, to help inform the industry regarding implementation in practice.

We have recently set up an Internal BIM hub which allows us to prepare our own company BIM protocols.

We are currently using BIM platforms on a number of projects with major UK Clients and have recently developed two major acute hospital projects. The AMHU at the University Hospital Llandough, near Cardiff, is a Level 2 fully collaborative BIM project in which BIM data is being used directly for off-site prefabrication. We integrated the Department of Health Activity Database into the BIM model at an early stage to allow for detailed checks on areas, acoustics, equipment and pricing schedules on a regular basis. We are also currently working on the refurbishment and extensions to both the Glynn Vivian Art Gallery in Swansea and Brecknock Museum in Brecon, both of which are to BIM Level 2 compliance in full collaboration with external consultants.
